MP visits the Sussex Game and Country Fair
Arundel and South Downs MP Nick Herbert visited the Sussex Game and Country Fair at Parham on Saturday (15 June).
The MP visited the British Association for Shooting & Conservation's stand where he met Dan Reynolds, South East Regional Director of the Association, and chatted to constituents before touring the fair.
BASC, which has 129,000 members nationally, promotes and protects sporting shooting and the well-being of the countryside throughout the United Kingdom.
Mr Herbert, a strong supporter of country sports, said:
"Sporting shooting is very important to the rural economy of West Sussex and conservation of the natural environment, as well as being enjoyed by thousands of people locally, as the popularity of the Game and Country Fair shows. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the show and BASC's stand, and hearing about the good work which the Association is doing to promote responsible shooting and habitat conservation."
