Clapham and Patching school sing for their MP
17/06/2013
Pupils from Clapham and Patching Primary School met Arundel and South Downs MP Nick Herbert on Friday (15 June).
The MP visited the school to meet Headteacher Jane Jones, her staff and the children. The school is situated in the small village of Clapham, just outside Angmering.
The village school, which won a "good" rating in its Ofsted inspection last year, has just three classes and provides education to 63 primary school children, including a number with special needs.
The whole school gathered to perform their own school song and ‘Sing', the song written by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, before the MP answered questions from the pupils.
Nick Herbert said: "I enjoyed my visit very much, especially the performance and the lively questions. It was very nice to receive such a welcome. I can see why parents value being able to send their children to this small and friendly school."
