MP launches new look website
Arundel & South Downs MP Nick Herbert has launched a new website to help update his constituents on local and national issues.
The website uses the same address as before – www.nickherbert.com – but has been completely redesigned. The new version has been built by Nick and his team themselves at no cost to the taxpayer.
The website offers easier navigation while a new section provides the latest information on topical issues in the South Downs, such as school funding and the rail service, with more subjects to be added soon.
One new feature is a sign-up and support function where constituents can choose to receive email updates from Nick or support his work.
The website emphasises that constituency issues are Nick’s priority, but the new website now includes more information on the national and global issues which Mr Herbert is also working on, including the campaign to tackle TB. 2018 is a big year in the fight against tuberculosis, which kills 1.7 million people globally every year, with a High Level meeting on TB at the UN General Assembly in New York in September.
Mr Herbert said: “I hope that constituents will like my new website. This is a beta version which we are testing and improving, and we can change and add things as we go along. There’s more work to do and a lot more content to add, especially in the issues section, but we’re keen to hear from readers with ideas for new features or issues they would like us to include.”
