Roads Minister confirms A27 Chichester northern route not an option

Nick Herbert MP has recevied a letter from Andrew Jones MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, about the upgrade of the A27 at Chichester.

Nick Herbert MP has recevied a letter from Anderw Jones MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, confirming that the consultation of the upgrade of the A27 at Chichester will not include alternative routes such as a northern bypass of Chichester which could impact on the Goodwood estate. 

The Minister also confirmed that the consultation will be slightly delayed until late Spring/ early Summer this year but that this will not impact on the target start date for the scheme which remains 2018/ 2019.
