MP opens new vets' surgery in Westergate
Arundel & South Downs MP Nick Herbert helped to open a new vets’ surgery in Westergate on Saturday (24 June).
The Westergate practice, based in Nyton Road, is the fourth in the Arun Veterinary Group. Visitors had the opportunity to look around the newly refurbished building with its state-of-the-art facilities and to meet staff ahead of the official opening ceremony.
A ‘Best in Show’ competition was held before the opening ceremony. Karen Fitzsimons and her terrier Queenie, winner of the Bravery Award, were invited to cut the ribbon alongside the MP and the owner of Arun Veterinary Group, Matt Gittings.
Matt said: “We are delighted to open our fourth practice in Westergate. The new practice will deliver the same high standard of services and care that over 4,000 clients of our other practice are accustomed to, and it will of course reflect our well-recognised blend of traditional and modern design. We’re really looking forward to inviting new clients and their pets in for a complimentary consultations over a Nespresso.
“I am pleased to say our considered approach to long term investment across all of our practices has enabled us to keep our costs extremely competitive. Our drive is to always deliver without comprising the quality and consistency of care that is the hallmark of our independent family-style practices.”
Nick Herbert said: “I was delighted to join the official opening of the vets’ surgery at Westergate. It’s a smart building in a great location and is obviously going to be very popular with pet owners. I wish Matt and his dedicated team every success with their newest practice.”
