MP becomes Patron of Sussex Snowdrop Trust
Arundel & South Downs MP Nick Herbert has accepted an invitation to be a Patron of The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, a Walberton based charity supporting very sick children and their families.
Di Levantine is the co-founder and CEO of The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, a voluntary role to which she has dedicated 23 years. Di invited Mr Herbert to be a part of the Trust following his interest in their work.
Snowdrop nurses, volunteers, fundraisers and staff help many families in the St Richards Hospital area who have a child with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
Mr Herbert has supported their work and fundraising, often joining the annual Snowdrop walk in Arundel Park. He has also visited their offices to hear more about their work and the children they support. The MP has described Di Levantine as "an inspiration and a very special person" for her dedication to the Trust.
Mr Herbert said: “I am delighted to be invited by Di to be a Patron for this wonderful charity. The Trust is currently supporting more than 70 local families who have children that are unwell, and the help they provide is unique to each family. I know that this additional support is invaluable to the Snowdrop families, and why I am honoured to be their Patron. I will do whatever I can to support this fantastic cause.”
